First-of-its-kind robot made in Miami makes dental implants virtually pain-free

“The haptic sensors and everything that are built into it allow me to feel where I’m going, position the hand piece, exactly where the implant is supposed to go, and then the robot will not let me put it anywhere but where I planned it,” Gonzalez said.
That precision not only makes the procedure faster but also eliminates the need to cut into the gums. The result? Less trauma, faster recovery, and little to no pain. Gonzalez said he no longer needs to prescribe narcotics after surgery for pain, and his patients only have to use Advil or Tylenol the day of the surgery.
Gonzalez estimates he places more than 1,500 dental implants each year thanks to the help from the Yomi Robot.
